Recently, the issue of fake fanpages has been on the rise, seriously affecting legitimate businesses and tricking many customers into scams.

Even more concerning, scammers are renting verified blue ticks, running aggressive ads, and offering surprisingly low room rates to lure customers. Below are some signs to help you identify fake fanpages that you should be aware of:
1. Check the Fanpage creation date
Even if the fake fanpage has a blue tick, it was only created less than a month ago (since March 10, 2025). However, it already has an unusual number of likes and followers (9,000 likes and 18,000 follows) — a clear sign of artificially inflated activity.

2. Check the content on the Fanpage
Due to its short existence, the fake fanpage copies a large amount of content from the official fanpage and posts it all on the same day.
Specifically, on March 10 (the day the fake fanpage was created), the page published dozens of posts, including long-expired promotions from Palace Long Hai Resort such as:
- Christmas offers (over 3 months ago)
- Year-end party (4 months ago)
- New Year greetings (both Gregorian and Lunar – outdated content)
Illogical and inconsistent timing in content is one of the most obvious signs of a scam fanpage.
A series of our events and promotional programs had already ended before Lunar New Year, but were posted by the fake fanpage on March 10.
